That's my answer every time someone asks me to help them raise their prices, get more (see: better) leads, get more "we want you"s.
Experience is the *how* behind my clients being able to 3x their pricing. Some have 10x their pricing. (In small markets and non-popular locations.)
Mindset, confidence, and clarity is how they've been able to then *book* at that pricing.
And more connection with clients and their brand, being themselves, and not getting lost in the crowded market is the *why* behind leaning into their unique experience they offer.
"I've been getting leads who are looking for what I offer and not just a photographer"- my client.
Leaning into my magic and how I wanted to create in this world changed everything for me.
It's what got me from:
living in a mold-infested Brooklyn basement room to living in a home I own, in Iceland, along the ocean.
Owning the sweet 4x4 SUV I've always wanted to go into Iceland’s Highland roads.
But most importantly booking clients I legit connect with who get me and I get them. As someone with ADHD, feeling understood and appreciated is essential in me feeling comfortable to let down my walls and create art.
Before, when I was still a generic wedding photographer brand, I had so so many clients that did not appreciate me, my art, or want a creative. They just wanted a roaming camera to sometimes, actually, physically push around.
What's your hyphen(s) in the middle between you as a person and the end result of being hired for your art?
That's where the magic is and *how* you can carve your own market with no competition and raise your prices out of the messy middle.
